Attorney Ying Haoming graduated from the Law School of George Washington University and currently serves as a member of the Fair Trade Committee of the Guangzhou Lawyers Association. He is a qualified patent attorney specializing in intellectual property and foreign-related legal matters, with particular expertise in IP licensing and assignment, infringement litigation and arbitration, and trade secret disputes.
Attorney Ying has previously worked at ZTE Corporation, Zhong Lun Law Firm, and Cube Law Firm.
He was involved in Sony’s first standard-essential patent (SEP) infringement case in China relating to the communications sector—a landmark matter that addressed the “fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory” (FRAND) principles in IP licensing negotiations and involved complex judicial technical appraisals. Attorney Ying has also represented Japanese companies such as OKI Electric, Unicharm, and Yamamoto K.K. in a series of intellectual property disputes in China. Additionally, he provided intellectual property enforcement support for a well-known Australian brand at major international trade fairs. Beyond IP, Attorney Ying is also skilled in resolving other civil and commercial disputes and offers ongoing general counsel services to clients.
