Song Liu is the Managing Partner of Yuanze Law Firm, he also serves as the arbitrator of Dongguan Arbitration Commission, and the research fellow at the Legal Theory and Practice Research Center of Sun Yat-sen University Law School. Song Liu has practiced law for more than ten years, accumulated extensive experiences in both litigation and non-litigation legal services. As the leading partner, Song Liu has represented a variety of notable arbitration and litigation cases for both Chinese domestic and foreign clients, covering contract disputes, investment disputes, equity disputes, shareholder liability disputes involving damages to creditors’ interests, and etc., the maximum disputed amount among which reaches as much as CNY four billion, and won multiple cases in the Supreme Court. Song Liu has represented Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. in a series of disputes against Shenzhen Yihua Group, among which OKI Financial Equipment (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. v. Shenzhen Yihua Computer Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Yihua Computer Financial Equipment Co., Ltd. involving the abuse of controlling shareholder’s right and infringement of creditors’ interests, lasts for eight years, was evaluated and selected as one of outstanding notable cases of the national wide judicial system in 2023 after achieving a complete victory in the Supreme Court. Song Liu has also carried out hundreds of due diligences and compliance investigations for multiple clients in the area of real estate, pharmaceutical, electronic devices, chemical and food industries, many of the clients are Chinese publicly listed companies and Fortune Global 500. Song Liu is also skilled in providing family wealth inheritance legal service, has represented clients in the establishment of family trusts as well as family offices.
